My mother, commenting on the intelligence of one of my brothers, used to say that there were 95 different ways to measure intelligence, but that standardized tests only measured 4 or 5. I agree that many, many people have been squashed by our educational systems.

In my opinion the problem is created whenever the wrong people are selected for the wrong jobs. Adding insult to injury, students aiming at certain jobs are usually provided with outdated information especially when it comes to visual communication, creativity, etc. Best testimony of this is the great promotion given to Microsoft Powerpoint as a top presentation tool within the industry!!!
